WE LOVE CHILDREN!

Welcome to our children’s ministry! At DCI, we love children and have a passion to see kids KNOW God through biblical teaching and encounters with our Father.

On your first visit to DCI, we will ask you to register your child at our Children's Registration. This step is so important for us to best provide for your child’s needs. Once you are registered, our children's team will assist you in finding just the right classroom for your children.

*Make your first visit easier by pre-registering your child online before you arrive. Online registrations will need to be completed no later than Saturday at 9pm,  in order to be processed in time for Sunday experiences.

Here's what you can expect at DCKids:

+ CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT PROCESS

CHECK-IN – As we receive your children, we will ensure we have an accurate cell phone number for you in the event you need to be contacted during service. You will also be given a security ticket which is used to ensure your child is safely released to the appropriate family member after services.

CHECK-OUT – Children should be picked up no later than 15 minutes after services have ended. Children can only be released to ticket holders 16 years of age or older. If a parent should lose their security ticket, a valid photo ID will be required before children can be released.

IF WE NEED TO CONTACT YOU during a service, our children's overseer will text you and ask you come to the children's center.

+ WHAT TO PROVIDE

Parents should provide 1 photo submitted when you register. The photo should include the child only. It should be an upper body or head shot preferably on a solid background similar to the example show above. All photos will be formatted to this example which will be shown on our video monitors during the dedication of your child. Photos do not have to be studio portraits.

Email photos to dedications@ourdestinychurch.com.

+ WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Please arrive no later than 20 minutes before the dedication ceremony. Usually, children are dedicated at the beginning of our worship celebration. The leader will give directions and ask the immediate family to come stand before the church facing the stage. All family members attending are welcome to come forward for the dedication.

+ WHERE SHOULD I SIT?

Reserved seating will be available for families dedicating children. One of our associates will direct you to a reserved area near the front/side of the stage for quick & easy access.

+ CAN I INVITE EXTENDED FAMILY?

YES! We encourage it.

+ WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE DEDICATION?

One of our leaders will briefly explain the purpose and importance of dedicating our children to God. Then the leader will ask the family & extended family to join us near the front of the stage. He/she will ask to hold the child (if the child is agreeable); pray a blessing over the child; give the family a practical first child’s Bible and a dedication certificate. The whole dedication lasts approximately 10-12 minutes.

+ SHOULD WE OR MY CHILD WEAR ANYTHING SPECIAL?

It’s totally up to you. Come in what makes you comfortable.
