LIVING WORD as TRUTH
Participate with us in the 22-day Psalm 119 Challenge.
Psalm 119 is an acrostic built on the Hebrew alphabet. Every eight verses begin with the same letter. From the first letter to the last, the writer is declaring that God’s Word shapes every part of life. So, we’re going to read it the way it was written—eight verses at a time, slowly, intentionally, letting God speak. Each day we will send you a text reminder with a though provoking question.
FOUNDATIONS: PEACE
Here’s how you can apply this message:
1. Make Internal Peace. (Identity)
Ask: “Where am I still living from fear, trauma, or lack instead of sonship?”
2. Make Relational Peace. (Responsibility)
Who do you need to forgive, confront healthily, or reconcile with?
3. Make Atmospheric Peace. (Authority)
Declare peace over: Your home, Your marriage and your
children, your mind.
FOUNDATIONS: PRAYER
Here’s how you can apply this message:
1. Join us in our 21 Days of Seeking. Follow along with our devotions each week. These will be on our webpage, DCI.LIFE, handout today, our app, and we’ll text it to you.
FOUNDATIONS: OBEDIENCE
Here’s how you can apply this message:
1. Identify one thing you already know God has asked you to do-and do it this week.
2. Survey your foundation this week: Identify things that are weakening or destroying your foundations and do something about it.
SEEKERS: THE SHEPHERDS
Here’s how you can apply this message:
1. Stop delaying and act on something God has spoken.
Follow through in an area where God has spoken to you, yet you have not responded.
2. Share a PRAISE with someone this week.
3. Build “seeking moments” into your schedule.
This week take time to shut off your phone. Read the Bible, worship or pray. Seek God not for what He can do for
you. Seek God simply for himself.
SEEKERS: THE FAVOR OF GOD
Here’s how you can apply this message:
1. Improve an area of your relationship with Jesus.
Worship? Bible Study? Prayer? Service?
2. Hone your gift of humility.
Practice this simple formula:
J - Jesus, how can I serve you first?
O - How can I serve others before serving myself?
Y - How can I put myself last?
SEEKERS: THE KIND GOD SEEKS
Here’s how you can apply this message:
1. Get hungry for God.
What if you really began searching Jesus at a deeper level this next year?
2. Get into the Word of God.
Search out a daily devotion to come directly to you.
Start reading the Gospels or the book of Acts.
Attend a bible study or small group.
VESSELS: Two Sides of Sanctification
Here’s how you can apply this message:
1. Constantly evaluate your relationship with God.
“Psalm 139 yourself.” —Check for sources of spiritual contamination.
2. Make a list of GOOD HABITS and BAD HABITS.
How can you improve the good? How can you eliminate the bad?
3. Volunteer to serve.
You should be serving at home / work / church / community.
THE PROCESS: Transformation
APPLICATION: Listen to this message and use these practical ways to grow in the Lord.
When you’re in a hard place, ask: “Is this a TRAP, a TRIAL or TROUBLE of my own?”
If it’s a Trap of the Enemy – Resist it. (James 4:7)
If it’s a Trial from God – Receive it. (James 1:2–4)
If it’s Trouble from My Own Decisions – Repent of it. (Romans 8:28)
